2026英語朗讀比賽：規則簡介

  1. 日期： 115年10月7日（星期三）
  2. 時間： 12:10-15:00（參賽者須於中午12:10前到場完成報到手續）
  3. 比賽全程約三小時，若因事實需求，須於14:00前上台比賽者，請於線上報名時特別註明且說明原因。未註明者，一律依主辦單位隨機抽籤訂出之順序上台比賽，現場唱名三次未到，視為自動棄權。
  4. 地點： 「進階組」、「中階組」和「基礎組」請分別至主辦單位指定之地點參賽。
  5. 本次比賽僅限元智大學「大學部」學生參加，大一各班須指派一至三位學生參賽。其他大一學生及大二以上學生亦可自由報名參賽。參賽者將分為「進階組」、「中階組」和「基礎組」三種類組，請依規定選擇組別報名。（若賽前發現未依規定選擇組別，主辦單位得直接更改報名者組別，或逕取消其參賽資格；若賽後發現未依規定選擇組別，主辦單位得取消其獲獎及參與記錄。）
  6. 「進階組A組」參賽者限定為1151學期大一英語進階LC101課程學生、學院學士英語專班一年級之學生（包含管理學院學士英語專班、人文社會學院英語專班、工程學院英語學士班、資訊學院英語學士班、電機通訊學院英語學士班）。
  7. 「進階組B組」參賽者限定為應用外語學系學生、大二以上學生以及曾旅居或留（遊）學英語系國家一年（含）以上之學生。
  8. 「中階組」參賽者限定為1151學期大一英語中階LC102課程學生。
  9. 「基礎組」參賽者限定為1151學期大一英語基礎LC103課程學生。
  10. 本次大賽僅限個人參賽，不得組隊報名。
  11. 主辦單位保留更改所有報名者組別之權利，得視實際報名情況，逕行指定分配報名組別。

比賽規則                                                                                                                                                 

  1. 所有參賽者皆須由各組指定的文章中選擇一篇，於比賽現場朗讀。（主辦單位將提供各組指定的文章全文。）
  2. 所有參賽者於線上報名時，皆須清楚說明選擇了哪篇文章。
  3. 所有參賽者於比賽時，皆須持稿朗讀，並不得使用任何型式之道具或輔助。
  4. 每位選手皆須自行撰寫簡短的引言和結語，內容須能搭配自己所選擇的那篇文章。（引言和結語長度各不得超過20秒。）
  5. 撰寫引言時，須留意引言應該：）提示聽眾等下要朗讀的主題、b.）提供聽眾相關背景知識，和c.）引起聽眾興趣。
  6. 撰寫結語時，須留意結語應該：）總結或再次強調文章重點、b.）建議聽眾未來可參考採取的行動，或c.）從朗讀的內容作出結論或心得（嚴肅或帶些幽默皆可）。
  7. 每位參賽者時限為3分鐘，須於時限內完成朗讀引言、文章本文，和結語。（一旦超過3分鐘，將立即請參賽者下台，並扣成績5分。）

評審與獎勵

  1. 每組各設二或三名評審，將按以下項目評比參賽者表現：「引言」、「表達」（包括整體可理解程度；流暢度；發音與語調；眼睛接觸、手勢與面部表情）、「結語」，和「時間管理」。
  2. 所有得獎者將獲頒「獎狀和獎勵金」（金額分別如下所示）：

第一名（每組各1人） ： NTD.3000

第二名（每組各1人） ： NTD.2500

第三名（每組各1人） ： NTD.2000

第四名（每組各1人） ： NTD.1500

第五名（每組各1人） ： NTD.1000

佳作獎（每組各5人） ： NTD.500

  1. 所有參賽者比賽當日完成參賽後，皆將獲頒「參與證書」。

報名辦法

  1. 報名起迄日期： 115年9月16日(三)起；至115年9月30日(三)午夜23:59止
  2. 參賽者人數上限：「進階A組」、「進階B組」、「中階組」和「基礎組」各30人 （額滿為止，報名排序第31位(含)之後參賽者將列入候補名單，若有缺額，待語文中心通知，即可遞補參賽。）
  3. 一律線上報名，報名時請記得列明您的中文和英文姓名、學號、科系與年級、聯絡手機號碼及電子信箱、是否有需要於當日14:00前上台比賽，以及您所選擇的文章。大一英文學生須註明大一英文班級及教師姓名

    2026 READING CONTEST: General Rules

    (ILCC reserves the right to change any and all content contained in the General Rules.)

    1. Date: 7 October. 2026 (Wednesday)
    2. Time: 12:10-15:00 (Contestants should come at 12:00 to confirm their presence at the contest.)
    3. The contest will run for approximately 3 hours. If you need to compete before 14:00 on the day, please specify such need and your reasons when registering for the contest. (Contestants who do not specify such need at registration will have to compete in the order assigned through a random drawing by the ILCC. If any contestant fails to show up after his/her name is called 3 times, he/she will be automatically disqualified from the contest.)
    4. Venue: Please go to venues designated by the ILCC.
    5. The Contest is open to all YZU undergraduate students. In each Freshmen English class, No more than three students will be selected by their respective English teacher. Other Freshmen students, as well as Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, are also encouraged to join the contest. The contest will be held in three groups: Advanced Level Group, Intermediate Level Group & Entry Level Group. Please choose the correct group when registering for the contest. (If before the contest, the group type you chose is found to be incorrect, the ILCC will either switch you to the correct group or cancel your registration at our discretion. If after the contest, the group type you chose is found to be incorrect, the ILCC will cancel your participation records and any prize you won.)
    6. The Advanced Level Group A is for students from the Freshmen English (advanced level), Freshmen students of English Bachelor programs (English Bachelor of Business Administration, English Bachelor Of Strategic Communication, International Program in Engineering for Bachelor, International Program in Informatics for Bachelor, and International Program in Electrical and Communication Engineering for Bachelor).
    7. The Advanced Level Group B is for students from the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics, and students of the 2nd year and above.
    8. The Intermediate Level Group is for students from the Freshmen English (intermediate level)
    9. The Entry Level Group is for students from the Freshmen English (entry level).
    10. The contest is for individual contestants.
    1. The ILCC reserves the right to assign any contestant to either the Advanced Level or Entry Level Group without explanation.

    CONTEST DETAILS

    1. All contestants must choose ONE from the designated articles and read it for contest. (All articles are provided by the ILCC.)
    2. All contestants must indicate the article they have chosen when submitting their online registration.
    3. All contestants must read from article transcripts and NO props or aids of any kinds should be used.
    4. Each contestant should come up with a brief introduction and a conclusion by him/herself to go with the article he/she has chosen. (The introduction and the conclusion should each be less than 20 seconds.)
    1. The introduction written by each contestant should: a.) give listeners an idea of what they are about to hear, b.) put the reading into context for the audience, and c.) stimulate the audience’s interest.
    2. The conclusion written by each contestant should: a.) summarize or reinforce main point(s) of text, b.) suggest an action or actions the speaker would like the audience to take in the future, or c.) make a conclusion or observation (either serious or humorous) that follows from the content of the reading.
    3. Each contestant is allowed up to THREE minutes to complete reading the article and delivering the introduction and the conclusion. (After 3 minutes, contestants will be invited to step down the stage and 5 points will be automatically deducted from their scores.)

    JUDGING AND PRIZES

    1. For each group, two or three judges will evaluate contestants on the following categories: Introduction, Delivery (including Overall Intelligibility; Fluency; Pronunciation; Intonation; Eye contact, gestures and facial expression; Volume), Conclusion, and Time Management. (Category details are listed in the Reading Contest Grading Criteria.)
    2. All winners will receive Award Certificates and cash prize of the following amount:

    1st Place (one person for each group): NTD.3000

    2nd Place (one person for each group): NTD.2500

    3rd Place (one person for each group): NTD.2000

    4th Place (one person for each group): NTD.1500

    5th Place (one person for each group): NTD. 1000

    Honorable Mention (five persons for each group): NTD. 500

    1. All contestants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon successful completion of the contest on the contest day.

    REGISTRATION DETAILS

    1. Registration Period: 16 Sep. 2026 to 30 Sep 2026(before 23:59 at midnight). Students will need to register online via the Portal after they have been selected by their English teacher or if they are willing to enter the contest without a teacher's recommendation.
    1. Online registration only. Remember to specify your Chinese name, student number, department & major, contact cell-phone number & e-mail, whether you need to compete before 14:00 on the contest day, and the article you have chosen. Freshman students must specify their College English class and names of their instructors.
